i haven't seen you officiate so how would i know if you are the best? ;) and what is the competition really about, like most "seattle's best, evening magazine, etc" if we could all just get our friends to vote. isn't really all be about who has the most friends and therefore, the most votes?

hi anonymous...

to be clear - obviously if you do not feel comfortable with casting a vote for me then I would without question not want you to do so.

you do bring up a good question as to how a vote like this works. and honestly i know more goes into it than number of emails. particularly number of vendors who have worked with you comes into play as well. but truthfully in researching this question it is not clear. what is clear is that there is no restriction as to who can vote and in fact all they are looking for is names.

i have been a part of other voting situations in which clear criteria was presented. this as you can see from their website is not one of them.

this is not my fault or doing. i simply believe that i do a quality job and have many who know me and have seen me in many avenues in which they would feel comfortable casting a vote for me.

but please, as I said before, if you do not feel comfortable with this, by all means do not do so.

i appreciate your honesty and hope you have felt heard.

thanks for your words!

you are a gracious, kind and big-hearted man. i sincerely believe that anyone would be blessed to have you officiate at their wedding - even if you might not have the "most" friends in seattle :-)
